    WordPress,

I have been trying my best to get this post indexed on google:
    https://www.pyrodes.com/2008/10/22/pyrodes-top-5-chinatown-buses-ny-dc-edition/

The posts I wrote prior to it are indexed, and the ones I write after it are promptly indexed. I took it down and republished it. I created a sitemap of my site and submitted it to google successfully. I have pinged google in every way imaginable. There is nothing fancy on the post that should confuse the robot.

    What gives? Any suggestions?

  • You are having duplicate content issues. Google has the content of the post indexed for the home page and for a category page. The single post page probably won’t show up in the index until new posts push it off of the front page.

Also, you need more quality incoming links (increased pagerank and authority) to help increase your percentage of indexed pages. Google will not index every page from a new, low or no pagerank site.

Thanks. It confuses me that the other posts are indexed even though they would produce the same duplicate effect.

Ya, I am working on the links.

    Thanks for your help!!
