Google Images API help

I tried the Google Images API option. In the Google dev consolt, created a custom search engine, got the search engine ID and API and entered values into Magic Post…but it is not working to get images. I feel like there is something simple I am missing in the Google dev console setup for the custom search engine to cause this.

It would be very useful if the dev would post a simple video/screenshots showing the correct way to make the Google Images API option to work correctly for fetching images with Magic Post Thumbnail.
