    Hi there,

Using the litespeed plugin it inserts a <noscript> tag when the matomo analytics script gets used and is inserted via the seopress plugin in the head which then causes multiple validation erros like:

Error: Bad start tag in p in noscript in head.
    <noscript><p><img s

    Error: Stray end tag noscript.
    ="" /></p></noscript></head

    Error: Stray end tag head
    /noscript></head><body

Error: Start tag body seen but an element of the same type was already open.
    pt></head><body class=

Searching these forums showed that you have an option to omit noscript tags from the page optimisation screen BUT turning that ON doesnt remove this OR other <noscript> tags at all.

This partiqular <noscript> tag is inserted by litespeed plugin as if you turn it off then a <noscript> tag is NOT generated.

This issue is happening on multplie sites all of which use the seopress plugins funtionalty to include matomo analtyics script.

Our understanding and from researching is that an IMG tag and P tags (why they are includded we are not sure as they are redundant?) are not permitted child elements. as such they should be added into the body and not head.

Can you please provide a fix?

sure, initially it was highlighted via search console We then ran a screaming frog crawl and it was highlighted in that. You can also see it via a w3c validator html test which show that error on any site really which will include the noscript tag in the header

    Hi @umbrellaweb

Could you please create a ticket with litespeed by emailing to [email protected]?with further details? This type of compatibility issue normally requires closer working together with the user to figure them out.
