Google Friend Connect Integration stopped working

I added Google Friend Connect Integration to my site some time ago and have a widget in my sidebar. All has been working well for around one week and I had obtained a number of followers. Suddenly the followers disappeared and I was only left with the empty box frame. I have tried re-installing it, but it remains the same. I had the same thing happen a while ago with Flickr and gave up on it. But, this GFC Followers page is important to my site. Help please?
