    Hello,

    I am using the very nice theme Graphy and saw that it loads the google Font Lora from a google server in the US
    https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Lora

    In germany there is currently a dissuation / warning going on for websites using google fonts on servers in the US…
    Is there a possibility to avoid this in the free version? I read that the font could be saved locally, requiring a custom CSS file? I am not a programmer, so I really have no idea what that exactly means…
    Maybe someone is in a similar situtation and knows how to deal with it..

  • There are at least two options to avoid the GDPR problem with Google Fonts: an easy way, using a wordpress plugin like OMGF, and a more complex solution, uploading fonts to your server and including them into the theme of your choice.

    wow, this is awesome!! Thanks so much, that was a quick fix.. According to different website-checkers the website is now free of the GDPR problem:-)
