It has been fixed in the latest theme release. The latest theme version (pushed on saturday 23) is still under the wp-org review process.

As the link provided by d4z_c0nf points out, my font situation occured when I disabled the cart icon in the nav bar through Appearance-Customize-WooCommerce options-Header Cart. I’m hoping for a fix.

that issue should have been fixed in the latest theme realease (3.4.17) – pushed live yesterday.
So upgrading to the latest version you should not have this issue anymore.
