With both the latest versions of both plug-ins I’ve found that UpdraftPlus wasn’t copying the backup files to Google Drive. When I turned on Debugging and re-authenticated UpdraftPlus with Google I received the following message:

Fatal error: Class ‘Google_Service_Resource’ not found in /home/angelamu/public_html/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/includes/Google/Service/Drive.php on line 1220

When I deactivate Google Drive WP Media, UpdraftPlus authenticates successfully.

In searching through the support questions the situation seemed similar to:

I logged a support request with the developer of UpDraft Plus and I received the following reply:

“…When this happens, its a fault in the other plugin, which is loading the Google Drive SDK on every page (which is bad for performance, as well as causing these kinds of conflicts). It should not do this on other plugin’s pages, or routinely when the WP scheduler is running – only when needed. We’ve applied work-arounds for a couple of popular plugins, but it’s not possible for every plugin…”

Can you have a look into this and let me know your thoughts on this?

    Regards,
    Robert

  • I have a similar error when using WP-Filebase Google Drive Pro: Fatal error: Undefined class constant ‘LIBVER’ in /home2/mlestorm/public_html/esd/wp-content/plugins/wpfb-google-drive/GoogleDriveSync.php on line 315

Google Drive WP Media is loading an old copy of the Google API, and in the old API version the LIBVER constant does not exists.

Additionally Google Drive WP Media should only load the Google API when necessary and not on all pages (WP-Filebase loads it only during sync).
