[Plugin: Polylang] Google doesn't recognize hreflang tags

    Hi guys,
    I have a problem with hreflang tags created automatically by Polylang plugin. Google Search Console does not see them at all. In the tab “International Targeting” there is a message: Your site has no hreflang tags. I’ve had this message for over a month and nothing’s changed.
    But they exist in the page source…
    I checked my website in validator and found an error: Element link is missing required attribute property. (next to hreflang tags)

    Do you know how to fix it? Any ideas? I would be very grateful for any help.

    Hi!

    I’m not sure. You will need to do tests. I noticed that a plugin (or your theme), is outputting:
    <div id="fb-root"></div> in the head section. <div> tags are not allowed in the head section. This html error probably strips all tags placed after this error in the head section. And hreflang tags are placed after this error.

    Hi!
    I removed div from the head section (it was added automatically by fb plugin) but it’s still not working… Any other ideas?
    That’s weird, it seems like I’m the only person on the world with this kind of problem :/

    Yes! It works! I don’t know why and how because I have changed many things but it’s all good now. Thanks for help!
