    Hi,

I’m an happy user of OceanWP, thanks for making it!

However, I just activated the breadcrumbs and start getting errors from Google Search Console:

Either ‘name’ or ‘item.name’ should be specified

Any idea how to fix this?

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

That is the full error message.

Please take a look at the following screenshot:

(I deactived the breadcrumb option on my site, but google search takes time to reflect it)

I share the html part where the unamed item is found by google console:

    <li class="trail-item" itemprop="itemListElement" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/ListItem"><a href="https://www.jcvignoli.com/blog/2006" itemtype="https://schema.org/Thing" itemprop="item"><span itemprop="name"> </span></a><span class="breadcrumb-sep">></span><meta content="2" itemprop="position" /></li>
    another example
    <li><li class="trail-item" itemprop="itemListElement" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/ListItem"><a href="https://www.jcvignoli.com/blog/2008" itemtype="https://schema.org/Thing" itemprop="item"><span itemprop="name"> </span></a><span class="breadcrumb-sep">></span><meta content="2" itemprop="position" /></li></li>

I believe it is related to the years part in the breadcrumb.

    Do you need more information?

The error is also beyond that. For SEO the current/active menu item in breadcrumbs should never be clickable and as you can see if you enable it on OceanWP, (which is enabled by default I think) the active page you are on is clickable.

If you check Yoast or any other SEO solution or optimized site you will notice that only previous paths in the URL’s of the breadcrums are clicable.

Please consider fixing it in future updates
