• This is my website abhishekmsharma.com

    It has a static splash screen (index.html) and WordPress is installed in a directory called site.

    Google shows my splash screen in search results, but not any content which is part of WordPress.

    What do I need to do to make sure Google shows results of my blog also and not just the static home screen (index.html)?

    Thank you

  • What do you have in your robots.txt?

    It looks like you just started your blog on September 10. Give it time, Google will take a few weeks to find new sites. After all, the have to index the entire internet. ??

    Adding your blog to Google Webmaster Tools might help to speed up the process: https://www.google.com/webmasters/

    @inclusivehost-john: Where do I find robots.txt?

    @macmanx (James Huff): I have already added that. But still no results on Google. ??

    Well, it hasn’t been “a few weeks” yet either. ??

    Your robots.txt file appears to be set correctly, it’s not blocking Google.

    unless you’ve bought a search engine ranking with google then you’ll just have to wait until it finds you and it will only do that if you have good, regularly updated content on there for it to chew on.

    I’d lose the splash page. It’s not really necessary and Google crawls using links it finds on the “index” page. So it’s a good practice to present your site navigation on that page.
