Google – Do i have to add both the www and non www version of my website?
-
Hi all,
I know this question is more related with Google Webmaster Tools and Analytics, but is also related with this plugin, so i aprreciate all advices and help anyonme can give me:
I describe my question bellow:
My website has a SSL certificate and only allows HTTPS secure connections. I have a .htaccess file that is setup with a 301 redirect to always use HTTPS and the non WWW version.
So even if a user types: https://www.mywebsite.com, it will always be redirected to https://mywebsite.com
So on Google Webmaster Tools and Analytics i have already added the https://mywebsite.com.
My question is if i also have to add the WWW version (https://www.mywebsite.com) and also the non HTTPS version?
Or the way i have (added just the https://mywebsite.com) is the correct way and i don’t need to add anything else?
Note: I have read the article about this at: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/44231?hl=en and i have become even with more doubts about this.
Hope someone can help me / advice me.
Thanks
