Google custom search autocomplete overlay issue

My theme is OceanWP. On my Google custom search page when you start typing in the box the autocomplete lies over the box instead of populating under it, hiding anything being typed. I tried inspecting and alternating the css but none of my changes were affecting the autocomplete cell that pops up. Thank you in advance for any help that can be provided!
