google crawl errors /index.html

I’ve looked for numerous answers to this on a search, and can’t find any answers to a familiar problem.

After running googles diagnostics, my blog has come up with 85 errors on the first attempt a month ago, and then after changing my permalinks to date/category/title and apply the correct sitemap generator, it has now picked up 63 errors. This was after going through each of the previous reported errors, copying them, and putting them googles remove list.

The erros im getting are files with a – /index.html on the end.
