I have received a few emails from Google regarding certified consent management platforms that will be required later this year for sites serving Adsense ads to users in the European Economic Area or the UK.

Will your plugin be updated at some stage to conform to these new requirements?

    Hi @bobsled,

    Greetings from CookieYes!

Our team is actively pursuing IAB TCF v2.2 plugin certification. After successfully complying with that, we will work on obtaining Google’s CMP certification. We are already making progress on both fronts and will notify you as soon as we achieve certification.

That’s great. Thanks very much for the information.

When you say obtaining full certification, what do you mean? To my mind, it makes sense if your plugin is a plug and play solution, as in people just install your plugin and it comes complete with all the privacy notices/wording being fully enabled upon plugin activation.

It does not make sense to me, to get “certified” when upon downloading and activating your plugin, we still have a lot of work to do to customize it in order for it to “comply” with the GDPR laws.

    What am I missing?
