    Hello @hdaackda

Thanks for reaching out about your product sitemap.

whenever I try to submit product sitemaps, it says can’t fetch. tried deleting and submitting again

You do not have to submit the product sitemap separately. You only need to submit the sitemap index since it contains other sub-sitemaps. Please remove your sitemaps and resubmit the sitemap index: Submit Your Sitemap To Search Engines. If you still get an error, click on it to reveal more details.

When I try to manually get the product sitemaps indexed, google gives as error saying “noindex’ detected in ‘X-Robots-Tag’ http header”

This error indicates that your sitemap is fine. However, it won’t be indexed as it is meant for your website crawlers, not human visitors. What’s important are the URLs in it, not the sitemap file itself.

Do let us know how it goes.

This same thing is happening to me. I’ve only submitted one sitemap, but it contains two additional sitemaps. Which is the exact same situation the OP is experiencing. One of the sitemap’s has been processed, and the other is saying “can’t fetch” due to a ‘noindex’ detected in ‘X-Robots-Tag’ https header.

    My structure looks like this:
    1. /sitemap_index.xml
    1a. /page-sitemap.xml
    1b. /rem_proeprty-sitemap.xml

The /page-sitemap.xml was able to process just fine, but the /rem_property-sitemap.xml says it’s unable to fetch.

    Hi @melissadb

Is rem_property type content is disabled from Yoast SEO settings? To check, can you kindly head to WordPress dashboard > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content type > rem_property and check if you have disabled “Show products in search results” for rem_property ?

    hello @melissadb

thats the wierd part. normal sitemap only showing 2000 urls in google sitemap (even though the sitemap has over 17k urls).

I can access the sitemap from any browser and even google fetch can access it (but says not indexable)

there are about 7 product sitemaps (6500+ products) but google sitemap hasn’t indexed at all

waited over a month. tried to remove everything and add it back.. still get the “couldn’t fetch”

    @melissadb screenshot

this “cound’t fetch” is not being solved. no matter what (tried adding all product sitemaps)

the “success” one is also showing only 2k discovered pages! (there should be above 20k). our website gets over 50k genuine traffic per month (from social media mostly)

    Hello @hdaackda,

Your latest screenshot shows you submitted the product sitemap and the sitemap index, but the sitemap index has no issues.

Kindly remove the product sitemap and only leave the sitemap index since it contains the product sitemap already. Then, monitor the sitemap index as the data or status you see is not real-time. Give Google some time to process the sitemap.

    dear @maybellyne Maybellyne

I have tried that too. But if I submit only the main sitemap, Google only shows “2097” discovered pages (even though there are over 17k)

And they seem to skip all product pages

“Give Google some time to process the sitemap.”

How much? Already gave it OVER 1 MONTH. (over 2 actually.. ) when noticed no change, then decided to try and submit product sitemaps but keep seeing this error

P.S. using the premium plugin (22.3) and also the Woocommerce addon (16.2).. hope that woocommerce addon is not the issue?

WooCommerce SEO addon is definitely not the causing factor. The standard rule is you only submit the main sitemap. This article could give you some insight into the cause of indexing issue. That said, this forum is reserved for supporting the free version of Yoast SEO.

Please contact our support team for assistance if you have an active premium subscription. How can I get premium support?. As your site is using a premium plugin so this thread has been marked as resolved per the forum guidelines.
