[Google Calendar Events] Can Google Calendar be edited from WP site?

I need a simple events calendar for a WP site. Most of the plugins I have found are not as simple to set up as one might hope. What I really want is a very simple booking calendar that can be edited from the front end of a WP site by logged in users. It occurred to me that a Google calendar, with sharing set to Public, would be perfect for what I need, if a Google Calendar plugin exists that will allow logged-in users not only to view but also to edit said Google Calendar from my WP site.

Is this possible using the Google Calendar Events plugin?

If not, are there other Google Calendar plugins that allow editing of events?
