    I manage a school band website. We currently have a “calendar” tab that publishes a monthly calendar from google calendars. We also have a list of events on a sidebar that was working until recently. I have played with the settings but cant seem to make it work.

    I updated to version 2.1.5 thinking it might fix the issue but the problem started before the update.

    WordPress 4.0.1 running Catch Evolution theme.

  • Please help us help you. What is your url? What is your calendar ID? What are your feed settings and formatting code? What is your shortcode?

    Sorry about that…

    https://www.berknerband.com
    https://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/[email protected]
    feed display: 6865
    Display events: list
    show paging link: box checked
    sort order: ascending
    number of events: 10, days
    display start date: 0, ahead
    group listed: events on

    I read in another thread that someone had trouble in the following situation: google account A creates a calendar and gives full rights to google account B; account B creates an event in A’s calendar. Is that your situation?

    Could you try creating a different calendar and putting some test events in it, then create a feed for that one, and try displaying that feed instead?

    I think we need Nick’s help on this one. I made a feed with your calendar ID and I got the same results you did.

    Looks like your calendar ID is being entered incorrectly. Please follow the new instructions for setting your calendar ID here:

    https://wpdocs.philderksen.com/google-calendar-events/getting-started/find-calendar-id/

    Let me know if you have any more issues after doing that.

    Thanks!

    I’m having the same issue.. Our sidebar was pulling the events fine for years. Then all of a sudden two weeks ago it just stopped displaying the events.

    Our website is: https://www.co.starke.in.us/

    Events are on the right. If you click on the title it will display the calendar, but it won’t pull them and display them automatically like it used to. Hope someone can help me!

    Having the same issue…
    website https://tate.zone
    The calendar is a widget in the bottom of my site. The dates are colored differently so I know it is pulling information of some kind, but it won’t display the information for the events.

    @bpinson,

    Do you have the plugin installed still? When I view the page source it seems it might be disabled.

    @thinshaw,

    Just checked your site and it looks like it is working properly now.

    I have updaed the Google API Key on the setting page and have spent another 2 hours jacking with every potential setting. I have added a “test” calendar under the “About” tab as well as a second widget “upcomming band events 2” in the side bar.

    I also updated the widget to Version 2.1.6.1 thinking ths might offer a fix. Still no luck. Clearly something changed with the plugin over the last few weeks to cause this.

    Are there any other options to get this feature back to my website?

    Hello baanderson, I am not an expert in debugging this, but I compared your page source with mine, and I found a difference that I think might be meaningful:
    data-gce-start-offset=”86400″. Mine is data-gce-start-offset=”0″.

    The other thing I noticed, using Firebug, is that the “Upcoming Band Events 2” part seems awfully empty.

    Could you show us
    – a screenshot of your feed settings
    – your feed formatting code
    – your shortcode
    – the version of the plugin you are using

    Thank you.

    @baanderson,

    I just checked your site again. Looks like you still haven’t made the ID change as suggested above.

    Please follow this doc to set your calendar ID using the new method:

    https://wpdocs.philderksen.com/google-calendar-events/getting-started/find-calendar-id/

    I also see that your API key is not set correctly as well, so for that one please make sure to follow the guide here:

    https://wpdocs.philderksen.com/google-calendar-events/getting-started/api-key-settings/

    Once you make those changes your calendars should work correctly. Let me know if you need further help.

    Thanks!

    Can anyone help with this issue? What information do I need to provide? We just need something that will work!

    Hope someone can help!

    Thanks!

    Sorry @nick Young I just saw your post. Yes I still have the widget enabled. I’m stuck. I’m still new to WordPress so maybe there is a step I’m missing.

    @bpinson,

    I just visited https://www.co.starke.in.us/ and can see the events showing in the right sidebar. Looks like you got it working now? If not, what is the issue you are experiencing?
