    Hello, thanks for the great plugin. We are experiencing issue with it. Our Google Business Hours are not updated. When we check the retrieved data, they are not our actuall business hours as set in Google My Business profile. What could be wrong? Thanks for help.

    @smartwebeu Have you checked the under the Additional tab – the View Retrieved Data? This will show the raw data received through the Places API.

    There are a few things to look for here:

    1. If you’ve recently updated the plugin and you have no new data at all, please click the Clear Cache button to force the retrieval to after midnight each day
    2. If you only just updated Google My Business, the Places API may not have the current information in there
    3. Please check the Place ID is a match for the business (do not just search for the address, use the business’s name)

    Note: only regular opening hours are included in the Places API data; no special opening hours are included. I do recommend using Structured Data for a more complete synchronisation process – with the original data sourced from your website rather than Google My Business.

    There have been some changes to this functionality recently. So, if you still don’t see the expected results, please drop me a message.

    we actually added one closed day to the Google My Business page…could it be the issue?

    @smartwebeu You can change anything on the regular Google My Business hours and this will be reflected in the Places API data. It could just be a matter of the Places API being behind with reflecting this change.

    If you view the Retrieved Data, you can see exactly what is being retrieved by the Places API.

    in the retrieved data it still shows the old opening hours, however, we updated the hours last week already…also in the search results the new open hours are reflected…just the API returns an old data.

    @smartwebeu Ah, this is something that is out of the control of the plugin as it relies on the Places API to return the correct current data for opening hours.

    I will look into extending the plugin’s functionality to use the Google My Business API in the future when I have time to code this.

    I could suggest contacting Google Maps support to ask them about this quite significant delay. Perhaps they can shine more light into the matter?
