• Goodday,

I was wondering if any one can help me.

I have a mailing list of approx. 2600 contacts, last night when sending out my emails, google blocked me, as they want to prevent spam, etc, etc.

They are only allowing 500 eamils to be send

Then your account will be blocked for 24hrs.

Is there anyway that I can send out my emails through my blog to bypass google??

    Regards

  • No – WordPress isn’t a mail client.

There’s a PHP function that you can include into your own custom script. Checkout the PHP mail() function.

But 2,600 emails to send? Meh…

Some web hosts would not take very kindly to anyone sending out that many emails from their servers.

I do not want to be a pain in the ….., but could someone then please explain to me how email marketing is conducted, otherwise than to send out emails through the program I am using, they say the succes lies in the list….

Your patience and guidance is appreciated a lot

@jirecho1; Really has nothing to do with WordPress and everything to do with your host and Gmail: https://lmgtfy.com/?q=email+marketing

@songdogtech, I do not know who who are, but before I got to my pc I thought you where the owner of WordPress, but on opening these comments I saw you are a mere member, like myself.

Maybe you have been a member much longer than what I have been, but maybe that is why “members should help members”, or at least, that is how I understand it.

I did not ask for your sarcasm, I wanted help, as I am totally new to the world of online trading/internet/blogs/etc/etc/etc.

I think it was totally irresponsible of you to post such sracastic comments and totally unasked for, they should remove you from the membership list, as this is the place where I go to for help, I am still learning and unless you are straight out of Heaven, I think you once were at exactly where I am now.

I do not consider songdogtech’s comments to be the slightest bit sarcastic. He is merely stating a fact. This is not the place to be looking for help on this particular subject as it has nothing to do with WordPress. Try asking your hosts for assistance or use Google.

@jirehco1, although @songdogtech’s reply may have come off a little sarcastic, the point he was making is helpful, and valid.

Most free email providers aren’t going to let you fire off so many emails. To be able to run an email campaign like you want…unless you plan on setting up your own server, you will probably have to pay someone. Free email providers (like gmail) have to protect themselves. So you will want to find some sort of solution that will most likely cost you $$$. Something like constant contact, etc.
