Google & Bing Site Verification Not Working

I did as the instructions direct, to insert the HTML meta tag provided by Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster into the required field boxes under the General Settings tab of All-in-one-SEO.

Then I saved the settings and went to the respective dashboards to verifiy my site. Both said verification was unsuccessful.

I then looked at the source code to see if the meta tags are there and they are not. I returned to the General Settings where we are to insert these meta tags and they are not showing in the respective field boxes.

My take on this is All-In-One-SEO failed to save and insert the meta tags.

As a note, your instructions mention not to include quotes, does this mean the quotes inside the meta tag or quotes wrapping the meta tag?

Example: (quotes inside the meta tag)
<meta name="google-site-verification" content="...." />

I hope there is a fix to this?
