    Hi,

I’ve just installed this plugin and when trying to complete Step 1 of the setup, to authenticate with Google, I am receiving this error:

The page you have requested cannot be displayed. Another site was requesting access to your Google Account, but sent a malformed request. Please contact the site that you were trying to use when you received this message to inform them of the error. A detailed error message follows:

The site “https://co.uk” has not been registered.

Google reports that this authentication method has been deprecated.

Is there a way around this problem? I don’t particularly need access to private albums, so this step is probably not required, but the plugin demands it…

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Matt

  • strange, why it works for some sites and not on other sites?

    jroy,

What is it, exactly, that you’re doing wrong? ??

I just installed the new Adobe Lightroom CC, released today. Crashes immediately on startup. V5 works fine. Arggghhh….

    –Rich

if I did something wrong it would never works (it’s binary), in my case it works for some minutes and then it stop to works.

I will do the test again.
I just request a new token, now go to this page https://www.naruwan.fr/taipei-divers-motifs-francophones/
and you will see the pictures, go back in 1 hour and you will see nothing.

I’m joking, of course. Maybe you forgot to set the timeout timer to zero… that’s disabled.

Seriously, can you describe exactly what you do, and how it fails? I can then try to reproduce the failure on my site. Maybe my site also has a problem and I just don’t realize it.

    –Rich

I just follow the instruction in the settings page of the plugin, I didn’t read something about the timeout timer!

Ok, there is no timeout timer! No more jokes…

You said it initially works, then it doesn’t. Is that after opening a new browser window, or returning to the same window that has been sitting idle, or after using the rest of the site, or logging out of your Admin user status, or ??? I would like to try to make my site fail, too, so it would be helpful to know what you do to see the failure, after it initially seems to work fine. Follow me?

And I just saw your post. I brought up your site, seems fine. I will re-check it later.

    –Rich

I try on different browser, different windows, different location on earth…

actualy it’s not my site, it’s for a client, I’m in Taiwan, he is in France, I setup the plugin and the token, I test it, it works, I send an email to my customer in France, because of time difference he try later, but it doesn’t work so he send an email, “you said bullshit it doesn’t works, fix it quickly”, what I’m supposed to say? to do?

go back to the website later, and you will see by your own.

I hear your pain. Mine is also on a site for someone else. There were several times in the beginning that images did not show up, but I thought it was a network problem from where I was working. It has seemed to be fine since. I just tried your site in France again and it works for me, using Safari on a Mac.

For now, I would tell your client that Google created this mess, and many are having problems, but it should be fixed soon. And I’ll keep checking and will update here if I see a problem.

    –Rich

it was I told him for sure.
I hope it will fixed soon.

usualy it works for 1 hour, and after bye bye pictures!

Ok, I too have a problem with the galleries. I was deceived at first into thinking that everything was ok.

There are three public Picasa galleries. The middle one no longer shows images – the gallery cover images show up, but when you click on the middle gallery to show the images, nothing! The first and last galleries work fine.

    –Rich

so it’s worst than me, it works and don’t works in same time!!!
    haha (but not funny)

    jroy,

I can confirm your problem – I try to reload the page on your site and the images are gone. Closing the window and opening a new one has no effect. Opening Firefox and trying to use that browser also fails – and it has never seen your site before. So it does look like the problem is authentication between your website and Google. ?? Likely the same issue for my site, with a different permutation.

    –Rich

    I have a “ToDo” found.
I have “Public Album Only” set to “true”. The galleries are to be featured on my blog, I have put in Google+ on “public”.
Now individual galleries are displayed again.
I hope it works now longer.

Hi Rich — these 3 galleries on your site are public? In that case there’s no need to setup the authentication and it’s quite strange that one of them doesn’t work. Let me know…
