google app engine and Contact Form 7

    Has anyone successfully gotten Contact Form 7 to send email when running WordPress on Google App Engine? I am having no luck (red box) with “Use App Engine Email Service” both checked and unchecked in the GAE plugin settings. My site has no trouble sending ‘forgot password’ emails. Have ruled out other plugin conflict and don’t think it’s my theme either (Customizr). Have also tried various “From:” permutations as suggested and don’t think that’s the issue either.

    Any ideas?

    I was able to resolve this by using SMTP (WP-MAIL-SMTP plugin) and turning off the App Engine Email service.
