    Hi jfkseo,

    The Google URL Shortener API is useful if you wish you create short links using their goo.gl short link service. In other words, if you wish to have your short links as goo.gl/linktomypage, then this service might be for you.

    The Shortn.It plugin, however, is designed to utilize your current domain, ie: jfkseo.com/linktomypage or, if you own it too, jfk.se/linktomypage.

    So to answer your question: no you do not need any other APIs to utilize this plugin.
