    Hi,
    I have some more issues regarding the plugin before I can review it:

    1. my standard google germany entry is at the moment: https://www.wordup.de/?lang=de

    I don’t think that the language suffix is needed and it might be bad for the ranking.

    2. When I use auto-publish at LinkedIn I get the following entry (here is an example):

    [:de]WORDUP PR ber?t US High-Tech-Startup SimpliVity[:]
    wordup.de
    [:de]Gezielte Presse- und PR-Arbeit für den Mittelstand – so lautet die Mission für unsere Beratung des US-Startups SimpliVity, das mit Abschluss der aktuellen Finanzierungsrunde in dieser Woche seinen Marktwert auf rund 1 Mrd….

    This also does not look very nice. Any chance to get rid of the [:DE] brackets?

    Kind regards

    @megamuc,

    what is your default language?

    Default is German, and I see all menu items in the backend in german

    Settings – Languages – Advanced Settings – Use Pre-Path Mode (Default, puts /en/ in front of URL). SEO friendly.

    and use – Hide URL language information for default language.

    OK, I have changed to pre-path….. qtranslate did not need this setting to work properly? I will let u know if google changes the URL….. you think that works with LinkedIn as well?

    in the page source of your web page, there are not the language codes,

    I do not know how LinkedIn works to “read” your pages. I think you should look there first.

    Google also does not show the language codes in the description of a web page.

    I just made a posting, LinkedIn shows still the same problem:

    [:de]Gründer Fonds: Innovationsimpuls aus Bayern[:]

    Same issue with yoast/Wordpress SEO: The current SEO check message is:
    “Das Schlüsselwort [:de]gründerfonds[:en]gründer fonds[:] taucht nicht im Seitentitel auf.”
    That means: the key word does not appear in the post title. But it does, without the brackets of course…. There is a major problem with this installation, sorry…..

    @megamuc,

    I was able to reproduce the problem with yoast/Wordpress SEO.

    I asked John to see what to do.

    Ok great, thank you. Google entry looks fine now, so only the “bracket” problen with LinedIn an SEO remains…

    @megamuc: The latest development version has some changes to deal with LinkedIn authentication. I am not sure if this problem is the same, but I would appreciate if you could test it. The latest version from GitHub, can be downloaded with ‘Download ZIP’ button on GitHub page or by pressing here for the sake of convenience.

    On SEO problem. Does this problem break front-end functionality or is it just an admin inconvenience? I am afraid, that this will not be fixable without “WordPress SEO” plugin author cooperation, and he is known to hate old qTranslate, and consequently does not wish to hear about any fork of qTranslate either, no matter what. You may try to convince him to cooperate with qTranslate-X, I have already failed once: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/pull/2099#issuecomment-78056315

    Hi, this is very sad news…. I don’t think that I want to convince the WordPress SEO author…. I thought there are WordPress standards that can be applied to every plugin so that problems like this can be avoided? I don’t know if it is only an admin or a front-end problem as well…
    Regarding LinkedIn: I will try the new version.
    Thank you
