Google Analytics works before cookies acceptance

    Hello, I have used your plugin to get consent for my third party cookies (Google Tag Manager / Hotjar). After some tests, it seems that the Google Tag Manager script is activated before accepting cookies. To verify, I used a cellphone to navigate the website without accepting cookies and i can see all the details of my session in Google Analytics.

    Is there something I missed when configurating the plugin ?

    The plugins needs to be setup correctly to block cookies.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply ! I tried using option 2 but it does not seem to work… Can you see if I did something wrong ? Or should I try option 3 ?

    I am using GA4.

    Also, i have other tools which use script and require cookie acceptance. How can i manage with this specific scripts (Hotjar) ?

    My issues aren’t solved. I tried methods 2 and 3 but it don’t work as I want it to. With method n°2, the cookies are always working even before acceptance. With method n°3, Google Analytics does not show trafic even after accepting cookies !

    Any update about that? The thread is marked as resolved but is it for real? I wonder that because along with GA4 focus on GDPR is getting more and more essential.
