We have implemented Google Analytics tracking using Monster Insights and then we implemented Google Site Kit and were able to link adsense account. But once I try to connect to Google Analytics, I get the attached error saying that I have to re authenticate and issue accessing data.

I am not sure why we are getting this issue. Can we have both sitekit and Monster Insights co exist. Does Sitekit place required Google Analytics tracking code on our site ?

  • @telugubulletin thanks for opening a topic. Yes, you can use both Monster Insights and Site Kit’s Analytics connection together. Site Kit should detect the tracking code that Monster Insights places on the site and not insert its code.

Regarding the error message, could you check the following:

    1) Ensure your Google Account has administrative permissions levels for the account/ property.

    2) Ensure the default URL for the property in Analytics matches your site’s URL exactly.

    3) Reset the Analytics connection: Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit > Disconnect Analytics from Site Kit then go to Connect More Services to reconnect it.

Please let us know what you find!

@telugubulletin I am checking if you had further questions about the issue or if it has been resolved? If so, send a reply to let me know and I will update your support topic accordingly.
