You are seeing this behaviour because you are checking the page source code while you are logged into WordPress, Peter. Easiest way to see the full Analytics code is simply to log out of WordPress, refresh the page, then re-check the source code.

The Analytics plugin is set to ignore visits from administrators because it assumes such visits are for working on the site, not natural site visits.

The very first entry in the Advanced Settings section is for Ignore User. If you want to change the level of users that are ignored, you can reset it here, or you can select that no users visits are ignored if you prefer.

Personally, I typically add the primary users’ IP addresses to an exclude filter directly in Google Analytics to accomplish the same thing, but that gets unmanageable with a large number of users, so this functionality is very handy.

    Hope that helps?
