Google Analytics Tracking Code and Better Analytics
-
I do not see the typical google tracking code anywhere in the source code of the site that I’m using Better Analytics with. There are no other google analytics or SEO plugins installed on the site.
All I see on each page is a single line in the footer with the GA tracking code in it (but no script). Google Analytics is also saying that there is not tracking code installed. However, the readings in the Better Analytics graphs in the WP admin do match the Jetpack readouts. So it is tracking the traffic correctly.
How does this plugin relate with the Google tracking code? Is this plugin supposed to add Google analytics tracking code to each page of a site? Or do I need to have the GA tracking code added through another plugin? What is the single line of code in the footer with the GA tracking number (but not the code) in it? Does Better Analytics not need the GA script tracking code inside each page for tracking to work?
