I am having a problem with the Google Analytics tag which is not working only when I use this plugin. When I add the script of the tag manager manually it works without a problem.

Google Tag Assistant Screenshot with no Google Analytics in it: https://nimb.ws/Z8cCAK

We don’t do any updates on the GTM container just we switched from the plugin to add GTM Script manually and it’s back to work.

I am testing and doing the full updates on staging. On the live website https://storetraffic.com/ , I deactivated the plugin and added GTM manually to have Google Analytics Back.

I need your plugin for E-com tracking purposes so adding GTM script manually is not a solution for me. How can we solve the issue please?

    Hi,

Just to make sure I do not misunderstand: on your staging URL I should see both Universal Analyics and Google Analytics 4 tracking?

When I open your staging site, I can see GA4 tracking as well.
I do not see however Universal Analytics tracking.

    Hello Thomas Geiger,
    Thanks for your quick answer.

    Exactly as you said.
Forget about the live website since I am no longer using your plugin.

On staging, I should have GA4 and UA instead of that I only have GA4.

The issue must be coming from the website because the tag of UA is working totally fine when I add the GTM script without any plugins.

Could you turn of your caching plugin on the stating site? It makes reading the codes quite hard ??

    Haha sorry for that!
    I just disactivated the plugin

You’ve added Google Optimize using both the integration in GTM4WP and within your GTM container. This blocks GA from loading.

When I block the network request that loads Optimize on your site, GA loads correctly.

Please use either the integration in GTM4WP or in GTM but not both.

    Yes indeed.

I followed your instruction and now it’s working fine.
Back with your plugin on the live website.

    Hats off to you sir.

    Thank you.

    hello everyone

I connected my google analytics to my domain and added the global js tag on the header but it doesn’t show any data when I go in real-time.

    someone knows what’s happening?

    Hi @xi3bc,

Please open a new thread since your issue does not seem to be related to the already resolved issue above.

Also, if you have added the Google Global Site tag (gtag.js) manually, that is outside of the scope of this plugin and I wont be able to help.

    Thanks for your understanding.
