    Hello there,

I enabled today your plugin (which is great) but I noticed that even after I rejected the cookies as a visitor, Google Analytics were still able to track me.

I was able to check it via google analytics real time report.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hello @cartographer,

Could you verify that you have set up Tag Manager according to this guide? https://complianz.io/definitive-guide-to-tag-manager-and-complianz/

It would help if you could share an URL to the website, so I can have a closer look at the configuration.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

Thank you for your answer. I managed to “fix” my proble by selecting:

Yes, with Google Analytics instead of Tag Manager in “Do you compile statistics of your Website”. (I am not sure if this is OK though).

Furthermore, I noticed that when a visitor clicks on “Accept” button of the Cookies Banner, the “statistics” and “advertising” cookies are automatically enabled (the switch changes), even if the visitor has turned the switches off. Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hello @cartographer,
Thank you for your quick response.

The Accept button functions as “Accept All”, so this will indeed enable the categories that were turned off. To save the category settings as provided by the visitor, “Save Preferences” will do exactly that.

    Hope this clarifies.
    Kind regards,
    Jarno
