There is a link at the end of every post that now reads as “Google Analytics Reports” with a down-arrow to the right of the words. When you click a down arrow, a Google Analytics report showing top searches for that page in a graph appears.

The widget for this is disabled and not being used anywhere.

When I deactivate the plugin, the reports on the posts and pages goes away.

I cannot find anything in the php code, or in settings, to stop this from showing up in my posts and pages.

    Help!

  • Hi,

That link only shows up to you, and the roles selected in Google Analytics -> Frontend Settings, regular users are unable to see those stats.

If you want you can disable those reports from Google Analytics -> Frontend Settings.

Here’s is the full documentation for more settings: Google Analytics Dashboard

I figured it out. Sorry for the panic. The setting is in Frontend Settings. Why in the world anyone would want their analytics to show up publicly on posts and pages still mystifies me, though. Hackers were following that stuff, apparently, and hitting our most popular pages based on the analytics reports that they could troll.

    Great, like I’ve said:

That link and reports only shows up to you, and the roles selected in Google Analytics -> Frontend Settings, regular users are unable to see those stats.

Guests and subscribers are unable to see those stats, nor other users except for Administrators and/or other selected roles, by you in Frontend Settings!
