Google Analytics Linker Problem

  • Hi there,

    we are using this plugin, but got a problem with the native Google Analytics Linker for cross-domain tracking:

    If activated, every outgoing link to our subdomains gets a url parameter with the GA sessions attached like https://account.clinq.com/?_ga=1.199239214.1624002396.1440697407.

    When clicking on translated buttons, you′re redirected to the current domain:
    Outgoing URL: https://account.clinq.com/?_ga=1.199239214.1624002396.1440697407
    But redirecting to: https://clinq.com
    We see that there is an ajax request from your plugin.

    The problem does not occur with German buttons (the main language).

    Do you have any solution for this?

    Hi,

    I’m not sure I see the difference. The urls are both the same?

    Does TranslatePress changes the URL? It shouldn’t.

    We are listening for javascript text node changes and if we detect a change, search for a possible translation. But it shouldn’t change the URl if it doesn’t have a translation for it.

    Can you please paste here the exact URL after the TranslatePress ajax call? If it’s correct and you still have a redirect, it might be due to something else/

    Hi Cristian,

    we can close this issue.
    After enabling the option “Disable dynamic translation” under “Advanced” settings, everything works fine.
