• From time to time plugin settings get empty and I have to enter info again which is a problem for many sites I manage. I suspect this is somehow connected to automatic updates I conduct using ManageWP but as it happens from time to time it is hard to debug

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to us!

This is strange. It might be because of the automatic updates conduct using ManageWP. The first time we have received this type of query. We’ll try to replicate the same from our end using ManageWP.

    Regards,

Just had the same happen – so for one day my statistics is basically zero compared to other days, hasnt been the first time its done this, generally after an update and I do not use any third party update processes, its all check for updates and update plugins myself.

    Hi @damiafaw,

That’s strange. 3rdp party update processes may be possible otherwise we haven’t faced this type of scenario.

One possibility is if you are using the plugin version lower than 2.0 & trying to update with the latest version because, from version 2.0, we did the Major UI changes.

How frequently it is happening with your store? You are directly updating the plugin from the backend?

You can contact us directly at analytics2(at)tatvic(dot)com to share the details.

    Thanks & Regards,

I update on a regular basis, so whatever the previous version was to the current – I expect 2.6.x
Generally I see it happen after an update but not in awhile.

Is there a debug enable that might capture when it happens that I can enable to capture the issue?

    Hi,

Currently no option available to capture the exact culprit. Suggest you contact us at analytics2(at)tatvic(dot)com so we can assist you further.

    Thanks & Regards,

We just had this same thing happen to our sites a week ago. 3-4 of them deleted the google analytics ID. We do not use a 3rd party updater top update this so the issue is most likely not connected to that. Any ideas?
