Google Analytics for a child theme

Hello,

I’m trying to put the Google Analytics tracking code on my website and I have a child theme set up with just a “style.css” file available. I tried putting the tracking code above the footer in the parent theme, but this didn’t work.

Where would be the best location to put this code? I’m not sure if the child theme is overriding the parent theme. (I’m using the Customizr template).
