• Hi.

    Great plugin – thank you – I saw massive improvements in my PAGESPEED loading.

    I just have one problem. I normally see 20-40 EVENTS in Google Analytics as visitors leave my site via the “VIEWS THIS WATCH on EBAY” button.

    Since loading CAOS 3 weeks ago I can see ZERO EVENTS in GA?

    I am running MINIMAL MODE with “Capture outbound links?” selected.

    Latest WP version 5.7.1 and latest CAOS 4.0.4

    PS – all other basic ANALYTICS are reporting as normal

    Thanks for your time

    Tristan

    Hi Tristan, sorry for the late response. I didn’t get a notification of this support request.

    How did you add Google Analytics to your WP configuration before you switched to CAOS? Also, what type of events were being sent to Analytics before?

    No problem ?? thanks for the reply.

    I was using code like this in the <head>

    <!-- Global site tag (gtag.js) - Google Analytics -->
    <script async src="https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=UA-123456789-2"></script>
    <script>
      window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
      function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
      gtag('js', new Date());

      gtag('config', 'UA-13456789-2');
    </script>

    And it gave me information under

    Behaviour > Events > Top Events

    I could see “outbound-link” and “Affiliate Link” (I think these come from Thirsty Affiliates)

    The “outbound-link” events had a LABEL of “VIew this Watch on eBay” and made up 90% of the events. They were pure outbound affiliated links to eBay without any URL cloaking etc All with <rel=”sponsored nofollow”>

    As an example – [ redundant link removed ] you can see the “View this watch on eBay” button – that’s what I would really like to be able to get a report on again

    I hope that helps. Please let me know if you need any more information

    Cheers

    Tristan
