    Hi Alin,

The plugin is no longer tracking well again, i notice that when i visit some pages on my site and they never show up among the pages visited and even the bounce rate seem obviously wrong. I think something is wrong with the tracking in general.

The problem began after I decided to optimize my site for speed and i installed the following plugins:
    w3 total cache
    cloudflare
    speed bosster pack
    autoptimize

However there was no problem when i was using cloudflare alone but when i installed these other plugins then the issue started.

The only message under the console tab after pressing f12 is:
JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, version 1.4.1

I’ll appreciate any form of assistance from you.

  • Hi,

Try to disable the new plugins while checking if the tracking works properly. Is the easiest way to identify the culprit.

Please note that some of the features of the optimization plugins are not designed to work properly out-of-the box, meaning that tweaking is required for them to work properly.

I switched to the real time view of the plugin in my dashboard and also logged into the real time view in my google analytics account and then i visited some pages on my site which i first noticed were not showing up in the pages view of the plugin.

To my surprise when i visited these pages the live view both from the plugin and in my analytics account were recording it but even hours after they never showed up in the pages view of the plugin.

I pay attention only to the bounces rate and the pages view of the plugin and both have been reading incorrectly. Fewer pages are reported in the pages views even when it is seen in the real time view and my bounce rate have been recording higher values.

Initially when i first optimized my site the bounce rate dropped which was expected and the pages were still reading well but suddenly i noticed the something was wrong. Other stats are equally wrong like the number of visitors.

What do you think could be the problem and how do you advice i go about resolving it?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Are you using any filters, because from what you’re saying it seems to be a filter that drops part of your visits. Please check your Google Analytics account and try to disable all your filters.

As long as the realtime works properly, it can’t be a plugin issue since the tracking is done properly. A visit once reported can’t be further processed by the plugin (only by Google Analytics itself, at processing stage where filters do play an important role).
