Google Analytics Code AMP Issue

    I just got an issue report from the Search Console about errors on my amp pages. It’s basically saying that a script is not compatible to the format. When I checked what it was, it turned out to be the Google Analytics Tracking code that was triggering the error. And so I made sure to remove the code on my Yoast SEO plugin or Yoast Glue plugin and even transferred the analytics tracking to Monster Insights.

    Now, is it recommended for me to remove the Analytics tracking code in the header.php file? Will it solve the issue or will I have more problems to deal with if I do this?

  • Can you show us your page? It will be easier to debug.

    On the hand – it’s strange – I used monster insights + amp analitycs ( https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/amp-analytics/ ) on some page and it should work fine.

    I am getting similar issue. May i know the solution pls? I started getting AMP issue since 18th Nov and it’s keep increasing daily. When i test it on google test run it says its valid AMP page but when i test it on a third party website, its giving error having <script> tag and this script tag is for google analytics. I am using google analytics and monster insight both for tracking.
