    Hi !

I tried to add Google Analytics to my website.
I have followed the steps in Complianz :
    – I selected “yes“ for complianz configures Google Analytics
    – I provided the code UA-Xx
    – I turned off data sharing, I accepted data processing terms

    My questions :
    – How can I anonymize IP ? Should I turn on “anonymize IP“ in Complianz ?
    – Currently when i check cookies on my web site, there is a cookie “complianz_stat“ but no cookie_ga / cookie_gat. But the complianz assistant scans cookie_gat but not the cookie “complianz_stat“. Moreover, when I check my GA dashbaord, it looks like the code doesn’t word beacause I can’t see any trafic.

Thank you for your help !

    Hi @mgehin,

Yes, you can anonymize IP’s by selecting the checkbox in the Complianz wizard. Did you do this already, then completed the rest of the wizard and did you click the ‘Finish’ button at the end of the wizard? When visiting your site I don’t see any trace of Google Analytics yet.

Does your Complianz dashboard state 100%?

    Regards,
    Leon

    Hi @leonwimmenhoeve

    Thanks for your answer,

I selected the checkbox for anonymize Ip’s. My complianz dashboard state 100%.
It looks like working now, I can see the GA cookies on my website but no more statistic complianz in the windows to allow cookie.. But cookies from Google are not blocked before I agree..
I would like to add the statistic cookies so user can agree or not before to put cookies from GA.
Could you help me ? ??

    Hi @leonwimmenhoeve

I managed to block Google Analytics until consent has been given ??

    One more question :
The scan didn’t find cookie_ga and cookie_gid (I cleared all cache). How can I do ?

    Hi @mgehin,

You can run the cookie scan again. I would suggest opening the website incognito mode, clicking on a couple of pages. Then run the cookie scan again (in the same browser, also incognito).

this will trigger the cookies from your browser. The scan will run automatically as well, you will get a notification if new cookies are found.

Please let me know if running the scan again helps,

    regards Aert

    Hi @aahulsebos

I run the cookie scan again, only cookie_gat and cmplz_stats are found.
So I added manually cookies (ga and gid).
When I check on the web site (logging-in) I can see the cookies in the cookie policy. But when I check the web site (disconnected from dashboard) I can’t see them (I cleared all cache).

    Hi @mgehin,

I just visited your site and I see these cookies and their descriptions all the way down, just before paragraph 8.

    Kind regards,
    Leon

    Hi @leonwimmenhoeve

    My mistake, thank you ??

I have got a question : cookie _ga’s duration is 24 month however I changed the duration in GA for 14 month. Is that ok ?

    Hio @mgehin,

No problem, you can change that in the wizard -> used cookies:
    1. deselect ‘sync with cookiedatabase’
    2. you can now adjust retention to 14 months.

    Kind regards,
    Leon
