    Hi @youandus,

As you’ve configured for the UK, the default setting will be to obtain consent for Statistics (including Google Analytics) as such data collection requires consent, even if anonymized.

But if you decide that you want to load Analytics without consent regardless of the above:

    • Navigate to Wizard > Consent > Statistics and answer “Do you compile statistics of this website?” with Yes, with Google Analytics
    • On the same page, enable the three checkboxes under “Does the following apply to your website?”
    • Click Save and Continue, and on the next page (Statistics – configuration) answer “Do you want to ask consent for statistics?” with No.

Hope it helps! Kind regards, Jarno

Thanks. I want to get consent before collecting data but I don’t understand why I get error message in google analytics as below.

Data collection isn’t active for your website. If you installed tags more than 48 hours ago, make sure that they are set up correctly.

When I contacted analitcis plugin that I use for installing the tag on the site, they advised your plugin is breaking?the src tag for gtag.js.

    Hi @youandus,

As stated above, the default configuration would be that Complianz blocks the Analytics script before consent is obtained as per the requirements in the region for which you had configured the plugin. I expect this is what is meant by “breaking the src tag”.

If you have configured the settings described above, Complianz will no longer block Analytics and you should be able to see the data in your Analytics dashboard; as the plugin no longer affects Analytics after doing so.

You might additionally have to perform a Purge/Clear All action in your optimization tools, such as SG Optimizer, before the changes are reflected on the front-end of your site.

    Ok thanks.

With the setting as I have now, if someone accepts analytics collection in gdpr, I’m assuming your plugin will allow for data to be sent to google analtics even though it currently showing error message?

    Hi @youandus,

I currently see a pageview when visiting your website. I use tagbird (extension) to check.

    regards Aert

Hello I purged my catching tools and cleared cookies and now I don’t get error message so all seem to work fine.

    Thanks for the help
