Google Adsense Plugin Stopped Working?

  • I recently moved my site from HostGator to WP Engine and have not been able to get Google Adsense Plugin to work properly since. I’ve tried disabling and enabling and even deleting it altogether and reinstalliing but still no luck.

    I note that when I go to Adsense Plugin, I can’t get the mobile Automated Mobile Ads to work anymore with the message, “Something went wrong. Please try again”.

    When I go to Manage Ads, I get the message, “Due to a theme change, ads are not being shown. Please reconfigure your ads or restore the previous theme”, however I haven’t changed the theme.

    I note that when I went to Google Adsense and had that crawl my site I got the message, “Googlebot couldn’t get all resources for this page. Here’s a list:”

    Any ideas???

    Okay, ads seem to be sorted now on my website but I the mobile Automated Mobile Ads to work anymore with the message, “Something went wrong. Please try again”?

    I’ve heard of others that are having trouble with the latest version of WordPress – it may be incompatible.

    You could try another plugin like AmpedSense (bonus it has built in split testing) that has proven to work with WordPress 4.5.1
