• I’m having such a hard time with google adsense that i think i need to hire a professional programmer to put it on. When it’s up, my site looks great in Firefox but looks different on IE….even leaving off the sidebars.

Is it worth my time to have Google Adsense if I only have 100-400 hits a day? Will I make any money? If you do, please let me know.

  • You can make money with 100-400 hits a day. Keep in mind that, these days, AdSense should merely be a supplement to your other earning avenues. With that kind of traffic, AdSense may only be about $10/mo.

Less than 5% of my website income is from AdSense. The rest is from affiliates, ad space, and sponsored articles/links.

Gabe…what kind of affiliate are you working and how are you doing with it ? As for Adsense fligrl, I just pulled it, I wasn’t making any money from it and it seems like if people do click on your ads, Google was telling me that I was breaching the security when it wasn’t even me clicking the ads. Whatever.
Gabe…do you have any affiliate markeing programs that you would suggest ?

I would suggest using a different advertiser. The moment I started making revenue on adsense they closed my account because of “suspicious activity” I asked them to just ban the IP of the person responsible and they told me it was my responsibility to monitor my traffic.

If you don’t stalk your stuff and someone doesn’t like your content they can destroy your adsense account and you’ll lose anything you’ve earned.

How much should I charge for an advertiser to put an ad on my community website? I would like to make money from ads…I need to find some advertisers.

Finding a good affiliate network is a good start. The types of affiliates all really depend on what your site is all about. Make sure you choose those that are related to your content.

If you’re just starting out, cj.com is one network you could try. Eventually, you’ll find additional products and services you can build relationships with.

Note that you should never have to pay an affiliate or affiliate network. They pay you, not the other way around.

One day, as you gain more and more traction, advertisers will find you, just as they do for me on a regular basis.
