Google Adsense Code not working

Hi,

I applied my google adsense code to a a sidebar text widget (without a plugin) as well as at the bottom of my posts using the Quick Adsense plugin. I have waited for about a week and the code still isnt showing up. I can see the yellow background where the ad is supposed to show, but no ad. Does anyone have a solution? Also, Im using the Simple Catch plugin.
