    Hello,
Having installed the AMP plugin on my site (I use Neve from Themeisle which is fully compatible with AMP), Google ads continue to show on pages for which I had added page exclusions (my homepage for one). I’ve tried to fix this, deleted the cache on all plugins and Chrome, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any suggestions so that the page exclusions function from Adsense will take effect?

    Thank you

  • Adding to the support topic I replied to from the Site Kit forums what you may prefer to choose is to manually insert your Auto ads snippet as opposed to allowing Site Kit to insert your Auto ads snippet. That way your won’t have any Auto ads code placed on your AMP URLs. (Note that you can still utilize the Site Kit AdSense dashboards, with the plugin recognizing existing manually inserted AdSense snippets)

After doing so you could use a plugin such as Advanced Ads or Ad Inserter which both have features to reuse single ad units across your site in various locations. Both plugins provide more control over AMP ad placements, while also including Auto ads features.

Hopefully that answers your query, let me know if you need any more assistance on the above.

After disabling AMP on specific pages for which I had an exclusion, the ads disappeared immediately. You were right, thanks for that. Hopefully, either AMP or Site Kit have a fix for this in the pipeline. I’ll post this comment to the other thread where you commented for others to see.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for the update. While there are no ads specific feature within the AMP plugin you could leave feedback with the AdSense team in relation to the Auto ads settings, enquiring whether the new Auto ads features are planned to also work in AMP. I don’t see any reference or notice within the AdSense platform and ideally this would be the most suitable approach.

You may also wish to submit a GitHub feature request on the Site Kit GitHub repository in relation to additional AMP settings. I do suspect however that the team may not add AMP specific configurations give the plugin is limited to what the AdSense API can provide for.
