• My Google Ads have been disapproved because of a “Compromised Site”.

I have absolutely no idea what would be causing this problem, so I managed to find an email address for Google Ad Support, and they replied back today to say that the issue is with two links that are apparently banned by them. The links are long and contain .js , but they all start mygeomanager.org.

I went to my plugins list to see if I could get a clue as to what is generating them (because it is certainly not something that I have linked to), and I found two plug-ins which I found suspicious because I don’t remember installing them (screenshot attached below):
    Head, Footer and Post Injections
    Header Footer Code Manager

They may have been added by a team of people who we asked to troubleshoot our website back in February (I have since removed all their user logins).

I looked at the webpages for these two plug-ins, and they certainly seem to read like the sort of thing that Google would object to, so I’m wondering if that would be the problem.
Obviously I deactivated them immediately, but before I re-submit my site for inspection by Google Ads, has anyone else had an issue with these plug-ins and Google Ads like this?

Thanks for your help in advance.

  • I just checked your website?myself, and there’s no trace of any Javascript resources loaded from the mygeomanager[.]org domain.

Ask Google Ads support for a manual review & provide them proof the website is clean – either hire a professional to do it?or?you may provide screenshots from the Google search console, Sucuri Sitecheck & Virus Total.

If the second review is unsuccessful,?you may need another thorough website cleanup.

This process requires patience, it may take a professional up to 3 to 5 business days to clear a “compromised site” Google Ads warning. Good luck & if you have further questions reply here.
