Google Ads can’t find tracking code on my site

    Hello,

    I connected the plugin with my Analytics Property and checked “Add Google Universal Analytics tracking code to all pages”. The dashboard also shows stats.

    But when I go to my Google Ads account, it tells me that it can’t find any tracking code on my site and asks me to set it up: https://prntscr.com/12qk5o1

    I thought this is done by Lara through the set up.

    Is there something else I need to do here?

    Hello @bestofbonus,

    Try to view the source code of your website, and check to see if the tracing code is there.

    Also, if you are using a caching plugin or cloudflare, try to clear the cache.

    Hello,

    I use Cloudflare and WP Rocket. I cleared all caches inside out, that didn’t help.

    I checked my source code and did a Ctrl+F search. There’s actually no analytics tracking code to be found.

    However, Lara is giving me stats in the dashboard and also shows no errors in the settings: https://prnt.sc/12yoqdj

    How is this possible?

    I have checked your main page source, and it seems that the tracking code is there, as follows :

  window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];
  function gtag(){dataLayer.push(arguments);}
  gtag('js', new Date());
  gtag('config', 'UA-xxxxxxx-x', { 'anonymize_ip': true });
</script>

    I think this was just a caching issue, and it seems to be resolved now.
