Google Accounts connected and "working" but doesn't actually post.

Hello!
I am currently experiencing problems getting jetpack to properly post to any of my connected google plus accounts. Posting to tumblr and (multiple) linked in profiles work just fine… but google plus continues to be a no go.
Everything WAS working just fine, till somepoint last month when all postings stopped. I had a warning on my post edit page saying I needed to reestablish my connection.. so I did.. But still no luck.
I thought maybe it was my privacy settings at first (i had trouble with that when I first started using this plug in) but that doesn’t seem to be it.
Reading through the support threads here I did have an “ahha!” moment when I read this particular thread.
The timing of the google plus issues does seem to coincide with our new google plus custom URL. Am I on the right path? What steps can I take to fix it?

Wordpress 3.8.2
jetpack 1.4
