Good UK hosts?

  • What good UK hosts with WordPress one click installation do you all use?

    (Want a UK host as hosting my UK site with a US host won’t make my site searchable on Google.co.uk – that was confirmed to me by tech support of a leading US host).

    I have a couple of .uk and both are very findable on various Google flavours.

    Edit: Google.com / Google.co.uk / Google.cn all find me in exactly the same place for the same term. Google.fr finds me a place lower.

    Yes, I think you’re right podz. After your post, I called BlueHost sales in the States and they told me that as long as my site is registered with a co.uk extension (as they can’t register co.uk sites), UK Google searchers specifying UK web pages will show co.uk sites in the search results.

    So a different question – BlueHost look great value in terms of what they offer. Anyone use BlueHost? Any views on them?

    (I’m talking about BlueHost here as an example as they’re one of the ones reccomended by WordPress for supporting hosted WordPress)

    I don’t recall any problems posted in these forums about BH.
    There may well have been but it’s a very small number.
