• The plugin is very good and helpful to organise your codes and turn them on and off as you want but since I started using it, I noticed a significate slowed on my website down.

I created another copy of my website without the plugin and placed all snippets in the function file and noticed a significant improve in the copied website speed compare to my original website.

    Hi @miky990t,

I recommend using an object caching plugin to improve performance, as Code Snippets is designed to leverage object caching to reduce the number of times snippets are fetched.

We’re also working on future updates to load snippets directly from files instead of from the database to introduce further efficiencies similar to what you noticed when loading snippets from a functions file.

@bungeshea Thank you for sharing about this work to load snippets directly from files instead of from the database. I was really intrigued to see how this was being done by FluentSnippets and thought that it made a lot of sense to improve performance and efficiency. Please keep us posted on your progress in this area!
