• It does what it says, and it can be used for free… but it’s complicated/messy enough and pushy enough (in character for SEO stuff, right?) that I’ll be looking for smaller, simpler, but still free options.

    Hi @hmijail,

Thanks for the review. I’d love to have you elaborate on?what you found to be complicated, messy, and pushy. Is there anything specific you’re having trouble with?

Any feedback is helpful for us to improve and earn a 5-star rating from you!?

    Sorry for the late reply.

As an example of messy and pushy: I have now in my WP installation a few menu options that were installed by AIOSEO: as one concrete example, there’s Redirects and Broken Links Checker. They are disabled in the free version and only tell me to upgrade to a paid account, they seem to overlap in their purpose, and are simultaneously available across different menus; so even avoiding them is a mental burden. I only installed AIOSEO because of a pretty narrow need; that was solved (thank you!), but now I have to endure spam and clutter.

Of course complaining about a free product feels a bit silly, but the free product kept spamming me for a review, so here it is.

    Hi?@hmijail,

Thanks for that information, it’s very helpful.

I’ve opened an internal Feature Request for our team to look at removing these.

Please note that ?Broken Link Checker is a separate plugin from All in One SEO and is a companion to help users find and fix broken links, which is very important for SEO. You can delete this plugin if you’re not using it, and it won’t be reinstalled unless you run the Setup Wizard and select it.
