Good product, good support

  • This plugin (paid version) is effective at setting up DB access and front-end/backend reporting against an external MySQL database. To understand the setup process, it helps to have a prioir understanding of some basic MySql concepts, but once set up, this extension did the job I needed. In addition to table listings you can prepare charts (pie-charts etc) to display on your frontend. In addition, on the rare occasions when I requested support, it was fairly quick and effective.
    Did not test the free version as it does not allow connection to an SQL database.
